Get To Know Me

Welcome! My name is Ella Collier and this is my new and upcoming website! I am excited to get the opportunity to share posts on here as well as learning more about how to work with a website. I am a junior at Marian University and am a part of the women's basketball team also! Some things that I really enjoying doing when I am not at basketball would consist a lot of stuff with my family. I also try and find opportunities for me to go home whenever I can. I enjoy getting to be there to watch my two nieces grow up and not miss out on anything. I also really enjoy shopping, whether its for myself, others, decor, or organization. I believe that this is also something that has led me to want to go down the career path that I want because interior and exterior design is so fun and cool to me. It's a great way to learn to express yourself and who you are and I find that so fascinating and fun! I am majoring in marketing, minoring in communications, and specializing in graphic design. In the next couple of months to a year, I plan on working to get my real estate license and also plan on taking an internship this upcoming summer with a real estate business. I do have some background with real estate. In high school I got the opportunity to work with a mentor of mine and then I also was able to work with him this summer as well. This job has always been a dream job of mine and something that grabs my attention. Growing up my dad did a little bit of "real estate" you could say, and I just remember helping clean up the house that was being rented out to others and I always thought it was so fun to do and mess around with. I haver so many goals in the area of my career and I am eager to get started and accomplish all of my goals. This semester in my New Media Marketing class we are working on personal branding and have created social medias on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and our own website. I decided to share things about being a NAIA women's basketball athlete and that content can consist of a lot of different things like a day in the life, articles, pictures, etc. My target audience can really consist of anyone, and I've noticed its a lot of people who have followed my career growing up and the age varies from 14 years old to 60 plus years old. I love getting the opportunity to share information about my life here at Marian as a student athlete and hope I can grab other athletes, especially in high school, who are looking into playing a sport in college so that they can see behind the scenes of what it is like.
